Job Description
• Develop, improve, and maintain our microservices and ensure seamless integration
• Decompose a large monolithic application while building core learning functionality
• Collaborate with globally-dispersed product managers, designers, and software engineers
• Handle high-priority, customer-facing defects
• Explore new technologies and industry trends
• Participate in and contribute towards code reviews, bug/issue triage, and documentation
• Contribute to troubleshooting and continuous quality improvements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field
- Minimum of 8 years of Software Development experience within a SaaS business
- Strong familiarity within Ruby and Ruby on Rails or similar languages and frameworks
- Understanding of distributed systems
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS and modern SPA frameworks (React, Vue.js, etc.)
- Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity and comfortability developing and deploying in cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
