• The purpose of this job is to plan and design, and/or facilitate the execution of new building designs, building expansions or remodels to meet established scope, design standards and general professional standards. • The Architect 2 role will lead architectural project design through all phases and work alongside the project team to successfully complete assigned projects. • Fully competent architect in all conventional aspects of architecture. • Ability to lead and delegate architectural design work to a team of 3-6 CAD designers. • Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity. • Performs analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies, and limited design layouts. • Prepares project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data. • Writes reports and specifications. • Reviews completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations. • Works closely with the CAD Designer / Project Manager to execute project plans. • Coordinates with CAD Designer / Project Manager to directly supervise the teams’ design and technical delivery. • Directly reviews and coordinates between consultant drawings and architectural drawings. • Directly coordinates with construction team to execute solutions to site/field issues. • Architect of Record for projects performed by the Design Team.
