Job Description
• Be a key part of the development process, implementing features from ideas to the end product
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of front end developers, backend developers, copywriters and UX designers
• Advocate best development practices within the team
• Solve issues with the systems, prioritizing based on customer impact
• Contribute to Booking.com’s growth through interviewing, on-boarding, or other recruitment efforts
• Rapidly develop next-generation scalable, high-performance systems
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in web development
- Strong software development experience with Vanilla JavaScript, TypeScript, React and NodeJs
- Ability to write high-performance, reusable code
- Experience troubleshooting cross-browser compatibility issues
- Very good understanding of API design and platform performance
- Experience with service oriented architecture
- Experience with defining and upholding SLOs/KPIs
- Experience with data-driven product development: analytics, A/B testing, etc.
- Excellent communication; written and spoken
- Experience of having developed software for the flights / airline industry would be of strong benefit.
