Job Description

• Plan, direct, and manage functions within the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Department • Manage and deliver high quality CDI programs • Responsible for design, collection, and reporting of data to support the System CDI Program • Provide guidance on coding and DRG assignment • Oversee education and quarterly CDI audits • Develop audit tools and quality standards • Manage Clinical Documentation Improvement Program for optimal effectiveness • Present reports to physician score card • Ensure compliance with regulations • Conduct performance reviews and manage departmental statistics

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management or Nursing Services or Associate Degree in Health Information Technology
One of the following Certified Credentials within one (1) year of hire: CDIP or CCDS
Two (2) years’ experience in clinical documentation improvement
Two (2) years supervisory experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of provider healthcare compliance, revenue cycle operations, and auditing techniques
Ability to mentor, educate and train others
Proficient in office software programs
