Job Description
• Support the Real Estate and Legal teams in reviewing and managing title commitments, title proformas, and ALTA/CLTA surveys for active projects.
• Assist in identifying and tracking title curative issues, such as liens, easements, mineral interests, encroachments, or ownership discrepancies.
• Coordinate with title officers, underwriters, outside counsel, and surveyors to facilitate title clearance and endorsement issuance.
• Prepare and maintain curative logs, closing checklists, and project title trackers to ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.
• Collect and organize supporting documentation (e.g., affidavits, subordination agreements, lien releases, estate documents, or corporate authorizations) required for closing.
• Support the issuance and review of final title policies, including lender’s and owner’s policies, ensuring consistency with executed real estate documents.
• Conduct property and public record research, including ownership verification, easement location review, and document retrieval.
• Assist in preparing and routing recording packages, signature pages, and closing deliverables for execution and submission.
• Maintain internal records, project folders, and digital files to ensure accuracy and version control across multiple transactions.
• Support the Real Estate Director and Transaction Manager in ongoing administrative and reporting functions, including title deliverables for financing and portfolio reporting.
Job Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in real estate, title insurance, escrow, paralegal, or related administrative role.
- Familiarity with title insurance processes, including commitments, policies, and common title curative measures.
- Basic understanding of property rights, easements, legal descriptions, and land title documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in document review and data entry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable working in shared file systems or project management platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to correspond professionally with external partners.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, legal studies, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of renewable energy or infrastructure development is a plus but not required.
