Job Description

• Creating and delivering education to the Coding Team, Clinical Documentation Nurses, Physicians, and other licensed providers • Collaborates with CMOs to ensure the integrity of the Health Record • Monthly monitoring of the clinical dashboard • Assuring coding guidelines and regulations are not compromised during decision-making process • Collaborating with Operational Coordinators and Coding Educators to identify targets for coding quality improvement

Job Requirements

RHIT or RHIA or CCS
Associates Degree – Healthcare related
Five years of coding experience and/or two years in auditing in area of expertise
Awareness of the financial impact of denials
Knowledge of APC reimbursement (Outpatient)
Strong personal computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Proficiency in using coding software and electronic health records (HER) systems
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Demonstrates critical thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Planning and time management skills
Educational/training experience
Audit experience
