Job Description
• Collaborate with Sales to provide subject matter expertise on protection, control, and automation systems.
• Analyze project specifications and guide estimation/design teams.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and technical documentation.
• Design scalable, standards-compliant protection and control architectures.
• Evaluate and select protection relays, PLCs, and control components.
• Work closely with sales engineers, electrical designers, and project managers.
• Represent IEM at industry forums and mentor junior engineers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Solid understanding of power system protection principles, relay logic, and automation systems (including PLC-based control).
- Experience with generator control, paralleling switchgear, and DER/microgrid control applications.
- Familiarity with industry communication protocols (e.g., DNP3, IEC 61850, Modbus).
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for project support and commissioning.
