Job Description

• Provide applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and therapy services for children with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities. • Complete additional paperwork requirement in an accurate and timely manner as notified by administration. These requirements include, but are not limited to, Discharge Summaries. • Collaborate with administration and other disciplines involved in the child’s care to promote consistent and quality services for children and families. • Evaluate children using appropriate testing protocols and tools to follow funding guidelines for each child. • Implement individualized and evidenced based interventions for ABA clients. • Provide therapy services to children based on the recommended number of units from evaluations and funding source approvals. • Provide therapy services in highly specialized facilities with an emphasis on goal attainment through appropriate developmental progression of functional skill attainment and real-life experiences. • Provide documentation of all therapy services by locking and electronically signing weekly progress notes including reviewing and signing off on all RBT treatment notes. • Approve weekly electronic efficiency report to reflect accurate billing in previous week. • Conduct parent training sessions and communicate changes/updates to families. • Supervise and mentor BT, RBT and/or ABA Fieldwork Students. • Participate in annual performance reviews for professional development and growth. • Participates in one-on-one meetings with leader. • Provides feedback to leadership regarding ways to enhance continued improvement of the ABA program and any needs or concerns. • Responds positively to feedback concerning job. • Participates in Multidisciplinary conferences as needed. • Demonstrates continued growth in therapeutic skills through learning, knowledge, and application.

Job Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with ASD and other developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
  • Must be able to work with children birth to age 21 and families who are at risk.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
  • Basic computer skills which include a working knowledge of keyboarding, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.
  • Ability to author routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
