Job Description

• Provide Automation support for multiple clients and ongoing projects • Develop, test, and implement new Automation rules, programs, and processes • Work in multi lpar client environments and assist team members with technical questions and problem resolution • Configure and support System state manager, Opslog archive process, MSF, and EPI • Design automated monitoring techniques for problem identification and prevention • Review and analyze existing automated processes and improve to standard • Provide and document problem analysis, resolution, and prevention, designing procedures and best practice techniques • Define automation policy, message automation (EMM), and zSA configurations • Lead complex assignments, mentor team members, and participate in client meetings and new business deals • Install and upgrade automation tools and manage zSA commands and resources

Job Requirements

Ten years hands on/industry experience with z/OS, Opsmvs, z/SA
Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience
Functional knowledge of z/OS Opsmvs or z/SA Automation or both products
Detailed knowledge of REXX programming and NetView
Ability to work in a multi lpar client environment
Understanding of zSA architecture, zSA commands, and zSA defined resources
Experience configuring/supporting System state manager, Opslog archive process, MSF and EPI
Experience defining automation policy and message automation (EMM)
Installation and upgrade experience
Processes communication skills to participate in Client meetings and new business deals
Ability to perform complex Automation changes and lead complex projects
Ability to mentor and show leadership qualities
Owner of overly complex assignments
