Job Description

• Drive profitable and sustainable growth in Strategic Chain Customers (Harris Teeter, Walgreens, CVS, Ingles, Lowes, Kroger & ABSCO Banners) • Direct relationship with chain buyers focusing on distribution, promotion, pricing, product placement, merchandising, ads, category management initiatives • Develop and maintain relationships with Distributor teams to drive goals and priorities and assure collaborative execution • Implement customized selling efforts in each Retailer aligned to their category objectives and strategies • Proactively analyze business/brand performance and report to VP • Develop/implement, communicate, measure, and evaluate National & Local programs/initiatives within customer group • Survey market with PBI sales team and distributor chain managers to identify opportunities • Cascade best practices of Strategic Account selling throughout the organization • Provide revenue growth and KPI delivery, industry insights, fact-based selling, and strategic leadership for customers, distributors, and internal teams • Frequent travel and reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategic Accounts

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in National Accounts with headquarters call experience
  • Results driven: Execution of key directives and initiatives (KPI) for region
  • Strategic Agility & Planning: 12-18 mo. horizon and partners with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Insights & Data Skills: Syndicated, qualitative, and using it for storytelling
  • Financial Acumen: Executing the financial objectives of the org
  • Business Acumen: Expert in the category and marketplace conditions
  • Negotiation Skills: storytelling complemented by price to sell effectively
  • Problem solving: Quickly assess, triage, and solve complex issues
  • Company and Brand Championship – company first mentality
  • Must be detailed, organized, persuasive, and can multi-task while maintaining a high level of customer service and responsiveness to immediate demands
  • Strong communication and superior organizational skills, detail oriented
  • Ability to build compelling and creative sales presentations with Sales, Marketing, and Consumer Insights
  • Knowledge of consumer/shopper behavior and category management concepts
  • Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere
  • Must have a high level of wine knowledge
