• Oversee the processing of accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for all salaried, hourly, and contract employees • Calculate monthly commission for all eligible employees • Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws to ensure compliance • Set up new tax jurisdictions and reconcile tax reports • Review and validate all electronic timecards for approval prior to payroll processing • Update payroll system to reflect approved changes in employee pay, insurance coverage, deductions, and department transfers • Manage payroll updates for new hires, terminations, transfers, bonuses, and special payments • Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and prepare reports for audits • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies • Ensure accurate and timely issue of W-2s and related filings • Process 401k elections and deductions • Identify process improvements and implement controls to drive efficiency • Provide leadership, coaching, and feedback to the internal payroll team • Communicate with all levels of the organization effectively
