Job Description
• Guide a product team tasked with product contribution to business, building new products, and increasing profitability of existing products.
• Make decisions with imperfect information and lead without authority; manage chaos, ambiguity, and complexity.
• Spend time in the market to understand market problems and find innovative solutions.
• Work with development counterpart to define product release requirements based on market problems.
• Work with product marketing and marketing communications to define go-to-market strategy by providing product and market insights.
• Serve as internal and external evangelist, occasionally supporting sales channel and key customers.
• Translate company vision into actionable tasks; set product strategy, prioritize features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules with design and engineering.
• Act as the "messenger of the market"; analyze market segments and collaborate with leadership to choose segments to pursue.
• Develop a three-year roadmap and maintain business proposals for product investment justification.
• Create user stories for current and future products.
• Manage entire product life cycle and drive buy-build-partner analysis.
• Monitor competition and develop strategies to reduce threat.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of product management, sales engineering, or product marketing experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in building and advancing products and services
- Tech-savvy and passionate about building products.
- Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.
- Proficient in productivity applications such as M365, Monday.com, or Project.
- Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Aha, Teams, Confluence, and Salesforce.
- Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Experience with best practice agile scrum development and lean startup principles.
- Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with our target buyers and users.
- Must be a strong writer and public speaker in front of large, senior groups.
- Excellent people and management skills.
- Subject matter expert/industry experience is a strong plus.
- Pragmatic Institute Certified (PMC) III or higher would be beneficial.
- This position requires domestic and international travel up to 25 percent.
