Job Description

• Define and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the value stream, aligning with company goals and the unique needs of staff, clients and participants. • Own, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog to ensure the highest value features are delivered. • Serve as the product owner in agile development teams, participating actively in sprint planning, team meetings, and retrospectives. • Work closely with internal (including plan administrators, finance, and support staff) and external stakeholders to understand business drivers, regulatory changes, and client requirements. • Act as the primary point of contact between business units and technical teams. • Clarify user stories and features such as recordkeeping, contributions, distributions, reporting, and compliance checks. • Analyze product performance, adoption and user feedback to identify opportunities for process and feature improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and experience leading agile teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with third-party administrators, recordkeeping systems, or retirement plan products is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in financial services, ideally in retirement plan administration
