Job Description
• Manage and grow strategic customer relationships across purchasing, engineering and supply chain.
• Focus on protecting existing business, reducing competitive losses, and driving consistent double‑digit annual growth.
• Coordinate global engagement across OEM, CEM, and distributor channels.
• Own the global relationship with key customers, distributors, and CEMs.
• Lead quarterly internal account reviews and monthly customer reviews.
• Map the account globally and build a multi-level engagement plan, including socket mapping and new product opportunities.
• Champion the customer internally and build strong relationships with key contacts and executives.
• Lead annual price negotiations.
• Review lost business and create recovery plans.
• Identify and maximize sales opportunities across the full product portfolio.
• Develop a healthy sales pipeline and ensure progress toward revenue targets.
• Work with RSMs, field sales, inside sales, and FAEs to drive NBO activity and maintain closure rates above 45 percent.
• Provide clear value articulation to stakeholders at all levels.
• Act as the customer voice in product line strategy, market analysis, and roadmap planning.
• Coordinate cross‑functional engagement to meet key account objectives.
• Check for overlap with other Novanta divisions and ensure effective information sharing.
• Oversee preparation and delivery of the internal key account scorecard.
• Provide SIOP inputs and support forecasting.
• Support RMAs, expedites, sample requests, and similar needs.
• Keep CRM (SFDC) data accurate and current.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in strategy or business development.
- Proven record of profitable growth in Photonics, Robotics, Converting, Micro‑Machining or Machine‑Building.
- Experience managing major OEM customers with long design cycles.
- Strong CRM and data analytics capability for KPI management.
- Working knowledge of SIOP processes, forecasting and reporting.
- Ability to drive a disciplined sales process including lead generation, pipeline management and forecasting.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
- Clear communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience developing and executing strategic plans.
- Familiarity with market research and analysis techniques.
