Job Description
• Scale the impact of GitLab's engineering leadership by aligning technical vision with product strategy
• Drive the technical narrative and content for board materials and investor decks
• Document decisions and processes in the GitLab Handbook
• Lead internal AI transformation initiatives
• Implement and maintain R&D metric frameworks
• Steward the engineering budget and optimize infrastructure spend
• Monitor organizational health metrics and lead change management
Job Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in executive operations, with 3+ years partnering with an executive
- Proven track record of drafting Board of Directors materials and managing strategic planning
- Experience leading company-wide technical programs impacting 1,000+ engineers
- Previous experience as a Director of Engineering or Principal TPM overseeing global scale systems
- Expert-level implementation of DORA or SPACE frameworks
- Experience leading change management with budgets exceeding $50M+
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex technical proposals into executive briefs
