Job Description
• Supporting UK-based teams, work must start between 7-8 am EST daily
• Proactively learn about FICO products
• Work with development team to define documentation deliverables for each release
• Research, write, and edit deliverables
• Coordinate production and handoff of final deliverables
• Explore architectural and platform issues relevant to products
• Provide technical assistance to sales, marketing, support, and other technical writers
• Interact with Product Managers, Development, QA teams, subject-matter experts
• Collaborate with other technical writers across FICO to improve processes
Job Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Technical Writing, English or Computer Science or relevant field
- Significant technical writing or software development experience
- Proven ability with English spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax and composition rules
- Experience writing programming guides and API references
- Experience writing topics in DITA and working with a content management system
- Familiarity with Java, Python, or another object-oriented programming language
- Demonstrable experience with XML and HTML
- Experience with Git/GitHub workflows
- Experience with Bitbucket and Markdown or Docs-as-code is a plus
- Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus
