Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a part-time remote Engineering Design Reviewer (3775).

Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is supporting a Department of Energy (DOE) Engineering Design Procedures review effort for client in Las Vegas, Nevada. Navarro has an experienced consultant leading a review of Engineering Design Procedures, and we are seeking one to two part-time technical professionals to assist with detailed procedure reviews and technical evaluations.
The selected candidates will work closely with Navarro’s consultant to assess engineering design procedures for compliance, clarity, and alignment with DOE engineering expectations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Engineering Design Procedures for technical adequacy, completeness, and consistency.
- Evaluate procedures for alignment with DOE engineering requirements, standards, and accepted practices.
- Identify gaps, ambiguities, or inconsistencies in engineering design processes and documentation.
- Provide written comments, technical observations, and recommendations for improvement.
- Support consolidation of review comments and assist in preparing summary findings or briefing materials.
- Participate in review meetings or discussions with Navarro staff and the lead consultant, as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience performing or supporting Engineering Design activities.
- Demonstrated experience working in a Department of Energy (DOE) environment, including familiarity with DOE contractor engineering processes.
- Experience reviewing or developing engineering procedures, design control documents, or technical standards.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document technical comments and recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and manage part-time workload to meet review schedules.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DOE Conduct of Engineering, Design Control, or configuration management processes.
- Prior involvement in procedure reviews, assessments, or independent technical reviews.
- Familiarity with NNSS, or other DOE/NNSA site engineering practices.
- Consulting or audit experience within federal or DOE contractor environments.
- Work Schedule and Duration
- Part-time, flexible hours.
- Anticipated duration aligned with the Engineering Design Procedures review effort.
- Remote work expected.
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
