• Design and build robust, scalable backend systems and APIs that power audience & journey creation, segmentation, and activation across Segment’s data platform. • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and other engineers to define solutions that balance usability, performance, and long-term architecture. • Communicate technical decisions clearly - articulating trade-offs, customer impact, and team alignment. • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. • Troubleshoot and improve system reliability, debugging issues and refining operational tooling and processes. • Participate in an on-call rotation for our managed services
