• Lead substation protection and control engineering projects, partnering with design engineers and drafters to ensure high-quality deliverables are submitted on time. • Create and modify design documents and drawings, including electric substation one-lines, three-lines, control schematics, wiring diagrams, relay panel arrangements and specifications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, and bills of material. • Design auxiliary AC and DC power systems. • Develop SCADA systems and communications interfaces. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to fully integrate protection, control, automation, and monitoring systems. • Perform engineering calculations such as relay burden, voltage drop, short circuit studies, battery sizing, auxiliary AC and DC load tabulations, and other analyses required to support project success. • Perform relay coordination studies and prepare relay settings. • Conduct engineering and technical quality reviews of deliverables prepared by other engineers and designers. • Perform site walk-downs to independently scope project requirements as needed. • Coordinate material procurement and delivery to project sites. • Support Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, including participating in client calls and meetings and assisting with project execution needs. • Contribute to the development of project cost estimates for substation protection and control projects, including planning, engineering/design, construction, and testing components.
