Job Description
• Lead the design and execution of qualitative and mixed-methods research to tackle complex behavioral, clinical, and product-related questions across Dexcom’s portfolio.
• Facilitate qualitative research activities, including moderating focus groups, conducting interviews, and observing participant behavior to ensure the collection of rich, meaningful data.
• Utilize health behavior change models (e.g., COM-B, Self-Determination Theory) to inform study design, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Analyze qualitative data using advanced methodologies and integrate findings with quantitative and digital-health data when applicable.
• Convert qualitative findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations that guide product development, digital experiences, clinical strategies, and patient engagement initiatives.
• Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams (Product, R&D, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Marketing), helping them understand behavioral drivers, barriers, and opportunities.
• Develop comprehensive research reports and presentations, effectively communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, methodologies, and best practices in qualitative research, continuously enhancing your skills to provide high-quality insights.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree in behavioral science, psychology, public health, sociology, or a related field, with a strong foundation in qualitative and mixed-methods research.
- Demonstrated experience applying health behavior change models to real-world health, clinical, or digital-health contexts.
- Significant hands-on experience leading qualitative research programs from study design through analysis and stakeholder readout.
- Ability to synthesize complex qualitative findings and translate them into strategic insights that influence product, clinical, and business decisions.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to senior and cross-functional audiences.
- Proficiency with relevant tools (e.g., NVivo, ATLAS.ti, Qualtrics, and statistical software to support mixed-methods integration).
