At Behavioral Health Works, we provide ABA therapy and behavioral health services to children and families navigating autism and we're growing. We're looking for an Intake Specialist to join our Central/East Coast team who's organized, people-oriented, and ready to be the first point of contact for families who need our help.

You're a people person, full stop. You light up on the phone, you can make a stressed-out parent feel heard in the first 60 seconds of a call, and you know how to balance warmth with professionalism. You don't get flustered easily, you follow through, and families remember you in a good way.

What You'll Be Doing

• Owning the full intake process for new families seeking ABA and therapy services
• Managing all ABA authorization requests from initial submission through approval
• Building and maintaining relationships with insurance referral sources
• Verifying insurance benefits and eligibility for new clients
• Managing case updates in CentralReach and Salesforce
• Assigning new and continuing cases to the clinical team daily
• Tracking authorization requests and following up proactively to prevent gaps in care
• Collaborating across teams to keep everyone in the loop on client authorizations
• Supporting billing and claims teams when authorization discrepancies come up
• Handling additional administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of customer service experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree
• Comfortable navigating tech platforms like Google Suite, CentralReach, Salesforce, etc.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in an ABA setting
• Prior intake or authorization experience
• Experience working with insurance companies
• Bilingual in Spanish
