Job Description
• Process military education benefits for the Student Financial Service's military education benefit team
• Complete military transactional work so the Department of Veterans Affairs and Tuition Assistance programs can be certified, validated, and paid to students accurately
• Handle communications with representatives of the Department of Veterans Affairs daily to ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with Admission Counselors and students to ensure all applicable documents are received so students can use their Military Education Benefits as a funding source
• Assist the Military Education Benefit Processing team with projects, reports, and other requests
Job Requirements
- HSD/GED and 2+ years of experience OR a bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in the field of military benefit certifications, military student services, invoicing, financial aid or bursar functions
- Strong oral and written skills
- Employment is dependent upon successful access to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)
- Knowledge of VA Education Benefits and Federal Military Tuition Assistance and any special arrangements for defined military cohorts
- Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
