Job Description
• Authorizes and pre-certifies services by coordinating insurance verification and authorization activities
• Identifies resources for families if health plan does not cover services
• Collaborates with Patient Financial Services on denied claims
• Initiates revenue cycle activities for pre-registration
• Provides quality service to ensure safe patient care
Job Requirements
- At least one year of insurance verification experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in a pediatric hospital preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve
- Work independently in a changing environment
- Speak and write clearly and concisely
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
- May require travel within Metro Atlanta
