Job Description
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
- 12 + years in government affairs experience at the state or federal level.
- Experience in state-based biopharmaceutical policy through work in, or before, state legislatures, state agencies, and/or organizations representing the interests of manufacturers, patients, providers, medical, or commercial organizations.
- Knowledge of health care policy, biopharmaceutical policy, regulatory and administrative processes, lobbying/lobbying compliance laws, and health care economics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write, present, and contribute as both a leader and member of a team.
- An ability to effectively manage and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment. Skilled judgement with respect to tone and positioning on complex and sensitive issues.
- An understanding of electoral and political processes, as well as the ability to work with legislators and policymakers regardless of party affiliation.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills along with an ability to work well with a broad range of people and entities internally and externally.
- Experience administering and growing a political action committee (PAC).
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time for Business-related travel, including overnight travel.
