JustWatch Guides (guides.justwatch.com is the editorial side of www.justwatch.com) is the world’s leading movie and TV streaming guide. Our editorial division is looking for a passionate editor with at least 5 years of experience and a proven track record of overseeing the editorial production of an entertainment website. The ideal candidate will lead the team producing German language lists and features for our localised site in Germany and must be able to communicate and report in English via Slack and email. You will have a strong grounding and understanding of Google Search (and SEO broadly), as well as how to win on Google Discover. Applicants should have an intimate knowledge of pop culture and tentpole Hollywood franchises (ie, Star Wars, Marvel, etc.) as well as proven experience covering films and series that resonate locally with the German audience. Successful applicants will be able to write their own features and lists, but will mostly oversee the editing and posting of at least 5 new lists per day and 3 features per week, with the ability to schedule content for the weekend. Experience with interviewing talent within the entertainment industry is a strong plus. We are looking for someone who is driven by curiosity, passion, meticulous attention to detail, and a goal-driven mentality. This is a fully remote position, so experience excelling in a freelance, work-from-home environment is crucial.
