• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle, SQL Server, and other DB platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) • Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations across environments • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies • Implement and maintain database security policies, user access controls, and encryption standards • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) • Design and manage backup/recovery strategies • Perform disaster recovery planning and testing • Analyze query performance and optimize SQL code • Configure indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies • Work closely with developers to design efficient schemas and queries • Provide production support and troubleshoot database issues • Document processes, standards, and best practices
