Job Description

This role is eligible to be performed remotely, however, if you reside within 60 miles of Lands’ End’s office in Dodgeville, WI or New York City, you will be expected to collaborate onsite in a hybrid fashion for up to 12 days per month. The Vice President, Global Marketplace is a transformative enterprise leader responsible for defining, accelerating, and optimizing the global strategy and performance of our Marketplace business. This role owns the vision, multiyear strategy, financial performance, partner ecosystem, and innovation roadmap for all third-party marketplace channels worldwide. Ensure global process consistency, cross-country scalability, and enterprise-level governance to unlock growth, operational efficiencies, and product-strategy alignment across regions. Provide dotted-line leadership to marketplace teams outside the U.S., ensuring coordinated oversight—including Europe and any future regional marketplace teams. Bring extensive global marketplace leadership experience, a proven track record of building and scaling omnichannel marketplace businesses, strong financial discipline, and the ability to champion cross-functional alignment at the highest levels of the organization.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketplaces, or online retail; 5+ years in senior leadership overseeing global marketplace operations.
  • Proven track record of delivering growth at scale in Amazon and/or other major international marketplaces.
  • Demonstrated success scaling a global marketplace business across Amazon and emerging channels.
  • Proven ability to build global governance models and process consistency.
  • Strong executive leadership skills with experience managing direct and indirect teams.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, financial acumen, and business modeling capability to set the strategic vision for the Marketplace business.
  • Expertise in marketplace algorithms, catalog management, vendor operations, and omnichannel retail strategy.
  • Advanced negotiation skills with major marketplace partners.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across complex matrixed environments.
  • Strong data analysis and KPI driven operational leadership.
  • High degree of agility and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving marketplace landscape.
  • Represent the Marketplace division at the SVP/EVP level, ensuring strategic alignment and visibility of business performance.
