Job Description

This is a fixed term contract role (12 months) where a hands-on Payroll Manager will play a very important role in ensuring payroll compliance in the region and a key participation in implementing a new payroll system. Candidates should have experience managing payroll, preferably in a multinational environment. An understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements is important and in-depth knowledge of payroll and HRM systems is preferable. Ad-hoc projects within the area are also within the scope of work. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting. Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data into third party processors Work closely with HR to ensure all relevant monthly change data is received in time and system integration are accurate Answer questions from employees and managers regarding payroll, vacation, and benefits Take care of vacation planning in partnership with line managers and HR Control and manage our time keeping system Perform the entire hiring and termination process, in addition to union relations if necessary Drive payroll system implementation, including planning, requirements gathering, testing, data validation, cutover and go-live Maintain accurate payroll reports and analysis Work closely with the accounting team and support the team on accounting-related payroll issues Support internal and external audits, including providing the required documentation Stay current with all payroll-related laws and regulations

Job Requirements

  • Degree in business related discipline
  • 8+ years of payroll experience including at least 4+ in a managerial capacity at multinational company
  • Experience in payroll system implementation projects, ensuring seamless integration and user adoption
  • Fluent English
  • An excellent communicator, flexible, structured and has an attention to details
  • A quick learner who is comfortable taking ownership of given tasks and working independently
  • Hands-on attitude, logical thinking and willingness to develop
  • Ability to complete self-initiated training necessary to remain current on payroll practices
  • Ability to learn processes quickly for more efficient and effective results
  • Ability to troubleshoot payroll processing issues, run and analyze reports
