Your Purpose As a Fraud Prevention Sr. Specialist, you will own the evolution and execution of the Fraud Management Program for Bitso Business across key markets including Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and the United States. You will design and strengthen scalable fraud prevention frameworks, ensuring strong regulatory alignment and the implementation of layered, risk-based controls that protect the business while enabling sustainable growth. Acting as the main point of contact between Fraud and cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Compliance, Operations, Product and Risk), you will actively participate in business initiatives from early design stages to ensure fraud risk mitigation is embedded into new products and processes. In parallel, you will oversee market-level fraud performance, lead complex investigations, manage fraud KPIs, and continuously optimize controls to balance customer experience, commercial objectives, and the company’s risk appetite. Reports To Bitso Business Fraud Operations Manager Who You Are Professional fluency in both Spanish and English is required. 3+ years of experience in fraud prevention, risk operations, or investigations within the FinTech or payments industry. Proven experience managing fraud risk specifically for corporate clients, understanding their unique transaction patterns and needs. Ability to perform rapid risk assessments and make high-stakes decisions during active fraud attacks or high-pressure incidents. Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to translate complex fraud trends into clear, actionable summaries for senior leadership. Excellent communication skills to act as a "Fraud Advisor" for B2B clients and a strategic partner to internal Sales, Product, and Legal teams. Experience defining, documenting, and optimizing scalable fraud processes and controls. Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with fraud typologies and payment systems across LATAM (Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina) and the U.S. (e.g., PIX, SPEI, ACH). Knowledge of the crypto industry and experience using blockchain monitoring tools (e.g., Chainalysis, Elliptic). What You Will Do Lead end-to-end B2B (and high-impact B2C when required) investigations and monitoring of complex fraud cases, reports, incidents, and attacks across all Bitso Business markets (Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and the U.S.), ensuring timely containment and resolution. Coordinate cross-functionally to manage fraud reporting obligations across jurisdictions, ensuring accurate, timely, and regulator-ready submissions. Prepare executive-level summaries of significant fraud events, trends, and emerging risks, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership. Monitor, analyze, and optimize key fraud performance metrics (fraud ratios, investigation SLAs, rule precision, and regulatory compliance), proactively identifying risks and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Proactively recommend enhancements to fraud prevention strategies, controls, and Bitso products, balancing fraud mitigation, customer experience, and commercial objectives. Drive the evolution of Bitso’s fraud infrastructure by co-creating agile, scalable controls with cross-functional partners that protect our B2B ecosystem at scale.
