Job Description

The Employee Relations & Accommodations Specialist will be an integral part of the North America Employee Relations team at ADM, responsible for managing the interactive process for workplace accommodations in support of employees seeking religious accommodations under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and accommodations for employees with disabilities related to state and federal disability, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) including changes by the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA), and other appropriate laws. Provide subject matter expertise to leaders and colleagues on accommodations topics. Advise Human Resource Business Partners and managers on related issues. Develop and implement employee relations compliance strategies, policies, and procedures. Provide guidance and support to HR teams and senior leadership. Ensure project and team milestones and goals are achieved on time and within budget. Provide guidance on policy interpretation and revisions, performance management, conflict resolution, and code of conduct concerns. Assist with investigations involving harassment, discrimination, and policy violations under the guidance of senior team members.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, AWI) is a plus.
  • 8+ years’ experience in reasonable accommodations management.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Employee Relations, HR Compliance, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. employment policies/procedures and related federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience leading the reasonable accommodation interactive process under the ADA.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using HRIS systems, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexible, innovative, and composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
