Job Description
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
- HAZWOPER 40 hr. training is highly preferred but not required
- Experience with Trimble Business Center or AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
- Team player with the ability to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
- Design, planning, and communication skills that promote safe work and safe work products
- Oral and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving/decision-making skills
- Highly motivated, with the ability to take the initiative
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Must have a valid driver’s license with no driving restrictions that interfere with job requirements
- Physical Demands/Visual Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers, vendors, both individually and in front of a group
- Good reasoning ability and decision-making skills
- Able to understand and utilize reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business
- Must be able to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard
- Work requires the ability to hear normal conversation, see near objects, and speak clearly
- Regular use of the phone, email, text, teams, and computer for communication
- Sitting for extended periods
- No heavy lifting is expected; exertion of up to 25 pounds of force occasionally may be required
- Must have a normal sense of smell
- Donning of varying types of personal protective equipment (PPE) as project requirements and conditions warrant
- Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders to reach and work from elevated platforms
- Ability to grip handrails/ladders with both hands
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to safely travel by air, car, train, or bus
- Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions
- Outside construction site, onsite office space
- The terrain is rugged and may be difficult to navigate
- Confined spaces
- Hot environments
- Noisy work environments controlled to levels at or below exposure limits
- Contaminated atmosphere exposures controlled to levels at or below exposure limits
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Different types of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be worn including hard hat, hearing protection, eye protection, safety vest, steel toe boots, and various respiratory protection
- Respirator use may require that the user be clean shaven
