About the Job We’re seeking a mission-driven, solutions-oriented Database & Technology Analyst to enhance our tech infrastructure and drive social impact. You’ll serve as our internal data/tech architect, supporting everything from Salesforce and HubSpot to email automation and data management. Working closely with NEXUS leadership, you’ll streamline operations, improve digital experiences, and support scalable growth. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced, "start-up" environment, is a self-starter, and excels at problem-solving. You’ll be joining a global team dedicated to inspiring the next generation to create social impact. Key Responsibilities Salesforce & CRM Management: Drive the integration process between Salesforce, HubSpot, and other platforms, ensuring accurate data flow and consistent syncing across all platforms. Work with the company’s CRM database and manage data schema documentation Update and enrich contact records (locations, roles, orgs, emails, etc.) Create custom objects, resolve duplicates, and maintain data hygiene Run custom reports across user demographics, summit history, engagement, and create dashboards on summit metrics Conduct regular backups and system health checks Marketing Automation Platform (Hubspot) Set up audience segmentation within workflows based on leadership direction and campaign objectives Build forms and connect payment systems, ensuring that all submitted data flows seamlessly into the marketing automation platform and Salesforce for tracking and follow-up Support automated workflows within HubSpot to support lead nurturing and marketing campaign goals Collaborate with Marketing Manager on marketing emails and newsletters with pre-approved templates, delivering engaging content to target audiences Assist the Marketing Manager in building dashboards that keep leadership informed on marketing metrics and campaign performance Highlights of Working at NEXUS Remote-first (bonus points if you’re based near NYC) This is a 1099 contract position with approximately 30-35 hours per week. While you have flexibility to set your own schedule, contractor agrees to be generally available during the core hours of 10 AM and 5 PM ET, Monday-Friday. As this is a 1099 contract position with a total annual compensation equivalent to $85,000 based on the agreed-upon terms and hours worked.

Job Requirements

  • Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Salesforce admin & configuration skills (including custom objects & integrations)
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, ideally HubSpot
  • Proficiency in WordPress and HTML
  • Strong grasp of CRM best practices, data hygiene, and system automations
  • Experience integrating marketing automation platforms, ideally HubSpot, with CRM systems such as Salesforce, ensuring accurate data syncing and system alignment
  • Ability to create clear documentation and self-manage priorities
  • Strong attention to detail when managing campaign data, email performance, and segmentation
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, events, and leadership, to support campaign execution and data-driven decision making.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in tech or systems-based roles
  • Preferred/Bonus:
  • Experience with APEX, CSS, JavaScript or Dataloader
  • Previous work with social impact orgs, nonprofits, or member-based communities
  • Certifications in Salesforce and/or HubSpot
