Job Description
Position Title: Leave Cover – Temporary Associate General Counsel
Department: Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management
Location: Remote in CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, MD, MA, NC, NJ, NY, OR, PA, Puerto Rico, TN, TX, VA, or WA

Duration: This is a FT role for approx 5 months (end of March through end of August 2026), covering our AGC role while on leave
Salary: $12,000-$13,000 USD gross per month
We will determine where the salary offer will fall within this range based upon the evaluation of the qualifications during the stages of the recruitment process. Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provide legal support to the following internal clients: Development, MarComms, IT, Technical Unit, People and Talent, Country Offices and other clients as assigned.
-Analyze, negotiate, draft, and advise on a high volume of contracts in a short time frame, including but not limited to master services agreements, service level agreements, partnership agreements, pharmaceutical donation agreements, fundraising agreements, confidentiality agreements, licensing agreements, cause marketing agreements, MOUs, and domestic and international grants.
-Oversee charitable registration process and other fundraising compliance matters.
-Research and advise on applicable rules, laws, and regulations that govern our work, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
-Ensure current knowledge of applicable domestic and foreign legal requirements that affect the organization’s operations, as required.
-Manage legal issues in assigned country offices including registration, maintenance and dissolution of entities; labor and employment issues; contract issues; and other routine issues in coordination with General Counsel and cross-departmental stakeholders.
-Manage privacy compliance program.
-Provide generalist expertise to identify legal issues and collaborate and/or lead the resolution of such legal issues independently, with other LCRM Department members and/or cross-departmental leaders.

A JD degree is required. Must have an active Bar license and be in good standing.
Full US work authorization is required for this role.

-Fluency in languages that are spoken in at least one of our core locations (India, Philippines, Tanzania, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Colombia, etc.), in addition to English.
-Prior experience in a humanitarian and/or global health development organization.
