Job Description

• Seasoned lawyer in managing and handling all legal HR, employment, and recruiting matters for the company and its global affiliated entities. • Expert in providing legal advice for our HR, finance and recruiting departments for all global employment matters affecting the company. • Key legal advisor on executive and incentive compensation, complex equity, bonus, and long-term incentive structures across jurisdictions, along with employee retention, immigration matters, and payroll. • Lead and develop a globally distributed team of employment attorneys. • Build and scale a global employment legal infrastructure that supports a rapidly growing organization. • Strategically select, retain, and oversee outside employment counsel, leveraging strong professional networks to ensure the right expertise is engaged for complex or specialized matters. • To the extent needed, support HR by conducting internal investigations and interviewing employees. • Collaborating with product and business development teams to achieve company-wide projects and goals. • Manage legal requests across the business and provide clear guidance on legal risk aligned with business strategy.

Job Requirements

  • Active membership with a state bar or eligibility to practice as a registered in-house counsel.
  • Seasoned lawyer in US employment law, with experience working on cross-jurisdictional matters and partnering with a global legal team.
  • Expert in drafting, reviewing and negotiating offer letters, employment agreements and severance agreements.
  • 10+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal team working on employment matters.
  • Expert in advising on the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, bonuses, equity, and other long-term incentive arrangements or deferred compensation programs.
  • Proven ability to build trust and provide practical, business-oriented advice to cross-functional partners; and be a proactive problem-solver and trusted partner to HR.
  • Ability to partner with Total Rewards and Finance on compensation governance, pay transparency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growth-stage and multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to work in a high-functioning legal team and feel comfortable in a collaborative working environment.
  • Self-starter, quick learner who is highly driven, proactive, responsive and precise.
