Role Description

This position plays a critical role on the Real Estate Strategic Planning team for the American Red Cross. It requires a professional with outstanding judgment, leadership, organization, coordination, and interpersonal skills to support key activities associated with real estate strategic planning.

  • Gathers, analyzes, coordinates, manages, and reports on activities associated with real estate strategies.
  • Manages the development of real estate strategies and implementation oversight.
  • Ensures project plan, scope, schedule, risk, budget, and deliverables align with stated project goals and objectives.
  • Manages data, systems, and processes from multiple sources to maintain integrity of information used to set, track, and decide on projects.
  • Analyzes data from multiple sources to develop real estate strategies and present them to line of business and Real Estate leadership.
  • Works across real estate transactions and construction project management to ensure timely submittal of business cases.
  • Portfolio spans over 11 million square feet and over 1,200 sites in the United States and its territories.

Qualifications

  • Minimal 7 years relevant work experience in Real Estate project management, PMP Certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Project Management, Finance or Real Estate; equivalent work experience may be sufficient.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building, collaboration and facilitation skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, time management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information in concise and relevant terms for business decisions.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing multiple projects cross-functionally.
  • Strong analytical skills in financial analysis and business case development.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and preferred Real Estate Portfolio and Projects Systems (CoStar System).

  • Gathers business requirements and assesses feasible options.
  • Conducts analysis to summarize functional team inputs.
  • Drives accountability to ensure successful project completion within schedule and budget.
  • Provides ongoing guidance and oversight during execution to ensure results meet business case parameters.
  • Leads and is accountable for all aspects of the strategy to ensure successful project completion that meets LOB requirements.
  • Assesses and mitigates project issues, interdependencies, risks, and financials.
  • Manages cross-functional relationships across the enterprise.
  • Maintains RES databases and reports on portfolio and project performance.
  • Oversight of capital budget and business analytic team member assigned to the project.
  • Managing the project life cycle.
  • Other duties as assigned.
