Role Description
This role involves leading a key segment of Instacart’s payments platform, focusing on alternative and emerging tenders and stored value.
- Own the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for the payments platform.
- Translate complex payments problems into structured plans.
- Partner closely with Engineering to design and evolve core platform primitives, APIs, and services.
- Act as the domain owner for payment experiences across web, app, and partner channels.
- Use data and customer insights to identify friction points and design platform solutions.
- Establish strong cross-functional operating mechanisms with various teams.
- Lead integrations and vendor relationships, plan migrations, and contribute to compliance and reliability.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of product management experience owning products end to end.
- Experience building or owning platform products or deeply technical systems.
- Proficiency using data and experimentation to drive decisions.
- Demonstrated success driving cross-functional alignment with various teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or financial/stored-value platforms.
- Knowledge of compliance and security standards and regional regulations.
- Experience building for multi-sided marketplaces or platform domains.
- Prior success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- MBA or advanced technical/business degree.
