Role Description
The Business Development Executive is responsible for developing and executing business development strategies to acquire new customers and enter new markets.
- Develop and execute business development strategies (marketing & sales).
- Monitor competition, economic indicators, and industry trends; report summaries to management quarterly.
- Explore ways to improve the Company’s brand image.
- Define proactive sales methods including presentations, phone sales, and trade show opportunities.
- Specify targets, quotas, projects, forecasts, and budgets for management approval.
- Track and analyze sales results to identify performance gaps and implement improvements.
- Analyze legal requirements and changes that may impact business.
- Act as the technical-commercial interface between engineering companies, EPCs, and customers.
- Support customers in selecting and configuring gas separation membrane modules.
- Analyze customer process conditions and propose optimized membrane-based solutions.
- Work with customers to optimize overall system design.
- Translate customer technical requirements into solutions, coordinating with engineering, R&D, and manufacturing teams.
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and monitor preferences.
- Follow up on product leads and inquiries from advertising and trade shows.
- Attend trade shows to increase company presence and establish new contacts.
- Network in industry associations and read professional publications.
- Establish and maintain relations with decision makers in the industry.
- Develop goals for the business development team and secure business growth.
- Participate in monthly department meetings to share information and report on business development projects.
- Train personnel and help team members develop their skills.
- Define individual targets for team members and evaluate accomplishments.
- Conduct annual appraisals to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Manage time and resources effectively to maximize productivity.
- Keep management informed by participating in meetings and reporting issues.
- Comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Contribute to team efforts by being flexible in work assignments.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through certifications and industry trends.
- Act on constructive feedback to improve performance.
- Examine work processes and recommend changes for improvement.
- Uphold work standards by maintaining professional conduct and seeking assistance when needed.
Qualifications
- Min. Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing functions, preferably in the chemical industry.

- Strong understanding of gas separation processes and membrane-based systems.
- Ability to evaluate and optimize process flow diagrams (PFDs).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance technical performance and commercial considerations.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and proactive in cross-functional environments.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
- Knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP systems like SAP.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
