Role Description

This role involves providing advanced clinical and administrative responsibilities within clinical nutrition, managing the comprehensive medical nutritional care of patients, which includes:

• Providing nutrition assessment
• Development of nutrition care plans
• Diet modification
• Nutrition education
• All activities involved in the nutritional needs of the patient population

Essential Functions include:

• Providing advanced clinical dietitian responsibilities, including specialty or advanced patient populations
• Participating in clinical care forums as a resource on nutrition-related concerns
• Mentoring new staff and evaluating new products
• Assisting the leadership team in program planning and proposals to improve processes or efficiency
• Planning, conducting, supervising, and evaluating the education experiences of dietetic interns and students
• Developing and implementing nutrition plans of care based on multiple criteria
• Documenting all nutrition-related information, including assessments and recommendations
• Counseling, educating, and developing resources for patient education on prescribed therapeutic diets
• Partnering with food service staff to ensure compliance with modified diets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Dietitian required or Master's Degree in Dietitian preferred
• Clinical Dietitian experience with multiple patient populations: 3-5 years required
• Dietitian and Nutritionist [State License] preferred
• Registered Dietitian [RD] preferred
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist [RDN] preferred

• Ability to effectively evaluate and problem solve
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to guide, teach, and motivate all patient age populations
