• Perform installation and commissioning on drive systems at customer site locations during ship construction • Performs troubleshooting activities at site locations during scheduled Port visits or at sea to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implements corrective actions • Performs a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure the technical integrity and proper installation and commissioning of our equipment • Develop documentation to execute work such as commissioning and maintenance procedures, as well as execute customer training • Execute on site project management and technical leader duties to resolve customer issues and provide customer satisfaction • Identify sales opportunities for service agreements, spare parts, training, and upgrades • Provide on call support in response to customer calls for service • Assist in the growth and direction of the North American business • Provide support to engineering teams working on customer upgrade projects • Complete timely service reports and other administrative requirements • Perform work on-board vessels within GE / Customer safety guidelines either in shipyards or offshore • Extended hours / overtime maybe required during peak periods and emergency circumstances • Domestic or overseas travel to customer sites for extended periods of time
