Role Description

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of critical business systems in a dynamic environment, supporting a variety of operational, regulatory, and research-driven projects. The Intermediate Business Systems Developer will design, implement, and optimize software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet complex business and technical requirements. This position involves a mix of software development, troubleshooting, testing, and custom report creation, providing exposure to both legacy and modern systems. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, continuous learning, and working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment where their work directly impacts efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

• Develop, modify, and maintain software applications to address complex business, clinical, and research requirements
• Implement system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and perform software upgrades and testing
• Create and maintain custom reports to support operational, regulatory, and research needs
• Collaborate with end-users and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure solutions align with business objectives
• Support both individual and team projects, adhering to deadlines and quality standards
• Assist in the integration of client/server and web-based applications, ensuring data integrity and operational reliability
• Maintain documentation for software processes, configurations, and user instructions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, or related field with 3+ years of programming experience, OR
• Associate degree with 5+ years, OR high school diploma with 7+ years of programming experience
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Visual Basic, C#, PHP, ASP, or other web-based languages
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Oracle) and client/server programming
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle, including testing, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with end-users and team members
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Healthcare experience is a plus
