• Responsible for all supply chain management activities within his/her project for all BOP equipment and spare parts • Prepares & applies common approach such as defining and applying of the contract requirements within the project • Coordinates on- and offshore procurement activities including turnkey sub-contracts • Develops Engineering Procurement Plan (EPP) and project-specific sourcing concept for each assigned project • Reviews and updates the purchasing strategy and the project specific sourcing concept • Verifies budget with Project Finance Manager and resolves budget allocation discrepancies • Executes large commercial transactions through supplier negotiation and competitive bidding • Understands the commercial part of the EPC contract and issues the project related purchasing conditions • Ensures that suppliers meet all contractual requirements related to documentation • Ensures that supplier quality / expediting has established the supplier monitoring-concept • Controls timely issuance of the purchase orders within budget
