Role Description
NV5 is currently seeking an Electrical Lead Commissioning Authority to join our Mission Critical team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and well versed in commissioning, facility engineering, construction, and operations of Data Centers. Duties and responsibilities related to this position are listed below.
- Responsible for the technical delivery both as a project lead and technical resource with minimal supervision while completing assignments that require independent judgement and evaluation.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and other project team members.
- Lead and maintain commissioning schedules including daily standup, 3-week look ahead and project specific resource loading.
- Lead and organize the quality control and electrical testing teams on Mission Critical projects.
- Manage the logistics for resource needs including staffing and test equipment specific to the project.
- Facilitate issue resolution of testing failures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in medium and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
- Able to work as part of a team, think creatively, and problem solve.
- Willingness to travel 75%+ as national level projects dictate.
Requirements
- Considered a Plus:
- Journeyman / Master Electrician
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Commissioning Certification
