Role Description

This role involves playing a critical part in the financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in various accounting processes.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to prepare monthly financial packages
  • Engage with innovative financial strategies while supporting team growth and development
  • Tackle complex challenges while advancing your career within a supportive environment

Accountabilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations related to general accounting, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities
  • Participate in the month-end closing process, including close notifications
  • Support the Assistant Controller in reporting and financial tie-outs
  • Administer wire transfers and manage cash tracking and cash flow forecasting
  • Conduct monthly variance reporting for income statements and balance sheets
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset entries prepared by staff
  • Lead assessments for capitalization and expense treatment for projects
  • Ensure GAAP compliance with internal controls and processes
  • Support payroll accounting and audit activities
  • Assist in ERP implementation and other special projects as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a public accounting firm or 5+ years in accounting and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger and GAAP
  • Experience in financial statement preparation and capital asset accounting
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively across all levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
