About the job
We are seeking a Business Analyst / QA Intern to support our product development teams by assisting with requirements documentation, user story creation, and quality assurance testing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in software product development while learning from experienced professionals.
This internship offers exposure to real client projects and the chance to work alongside an experienced team that excels at building high-quality products for clients at scale. This position reports to a Product Owner or Development Team Lead.
Qualifications
Essential skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational abilities
- Basic understanding of software development processes
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and processes
- Comfortable working in collaborative team environments
Helpful skills:
- Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Exposure to software testing concepts
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace
- Coursework or projects related to business analysis, information systems, or computer science
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist in gathering requirements from stakeholders and documenting them clearly
- Help create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira
- Support manual testing efforts by executing test cases and documenting results
- Log defects with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce
- Participate in team meetings and sprint ceremonies
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to understand project goals
- Assist with data analysis and reporting as needed
- Shadow experienced team members to learn best practices in business analysis and quality assurance
We're looking for someone who:
- Is currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Has a genuine interest in technology and software development
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities
- Can work independently with guidance and take initiative
- Is eager to learn and grow professionally
- Can commit to 3+ month duration
