Job Description
Role Description
This position serves as a legal analyst for the Discipline Resolution Section within the Legal Division of the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA). This position is responsible for:
- Conducting compliance conferences
- Considering mitigation
- Recommending disciplinary sanctions for licensed marijuana businesses whose violations of the marijuana laws or administrative rules have been substantiated
- Analyzing legislation and other legal matters related to the Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act (MMFLA), Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act (MRTMA), and Michigan Medical Marijuana Act (MMMA)
- Actively managing its caseload of administrative cases
- Ensuring cases are processed timely and within the Division’s established metrics

- Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service
- Alternate Education and Experience: Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement
