Role Description
The Consumer and Industrial Segment (C&I) Account Manager Role (AM) will be part of the Celanese Engineered Materials US/Canada Sales Team and report to the Sales Director within the region. The C&I AM will be responsible for delivering accretive revenue and volume growth within a specified geographic territory.
- Accountable for delivering revenue and volume growth for the territory commensurate with the Annual Operating budgets (AOP).
- Developing a growth strategy for the territory, focusing on new business development, while maintaining and growing wallet share of existing business within the territory.
- Building a robust Pipeline of opportunities to sustain the growth objectives of the territory.
- Maintains all SFDC data related to assigned accounts; account plans, relationship maps, call reports, sample requests, and pipeline opportunity management.
- Understands and capable of learning the performance and value proposition of Celanese’s products/solutions and actively assists the C&I team in capturing optimal value.
- Primary point of contact for all assigned accounts, expected to develop deep relationships and ensuring world class service levels with frequent in person customer interfaces.
- Lead development, communication and implementation of segment/account growth plans.
- Support introduction and sale of new products to customers via translation opportunities.
- Diversify customer base with new customers and applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related field; advanced degree highly desirable.
- 5-10 years of Commercial Experience in an Account Management role.
- Account Management / Application Development experience at a chemical, or plastic’s company.
- Demonstrate the ability to navigate and influence multiple levels of an organization.
- Ability to organize / prioritize and work independently.
- Demonstrate proven contract negotiation skills.
- Business acumen & customer focus.
- Ability to travel 50-75% of the time.
