Position Summary

The Sr. Analyst is a member of the Technical Product Management team responsible for defining user stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog. This role is instrumental in partnering with the Product Lead to drive day to day development for Retail Pharmacy initiatives that generate multi-million dollar business value to the organization and touch millions of consumers. Responsible for working with the PM to streamline the execution of team priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features/ components for the team. This technical product owner role will support the RxConnect Agile product team.

Examples of responsibilities and ownership include:

Team Backlog Maintenance/Prioritization

  • Works with the lead to maintain the product backlog and facilitate decision-making on stories, bug fixes, and technical debt as they move through stages in team Jira board
  • Collaborates with Agile teams to continuously review business needs, refine priorities, outline deliverables, and identify and address dependencies, opportunities, and risks
  • Works with Product Managers and stakeholders to decompose features into prioritized user stories that deliver value and tangible business results
  • Provides subject matter expertise – explaining product vision and user stories to the team to ensure requirements are understood and customer value is delivered
  • Collaborates with the Business Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Initiative Owner and Solution Architect to clarify requirements

Planning/ Execution

  • Works with team to ensure user stories meet ‘Definition of Ready’ before development starts and meets the Definition of Done before accepting them as complete
  • Responsible for assuring a level of quality has been achieved by validating that the Story meets acceptance criteria and has met acceptance tests; approves stories as complete
  • Responsible to update product management on Story status to align on delivery expectations
  • Participates in daily sprint ceremonies to facilitate quality and speed of delivery; holds team accountable for what they committed to deliver
  • Works with team to establish regular cadence and manage capacity


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years IT work experience or related fields
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience delivering products/features/user stories  
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in requirement management tools, ie. Jira
  • Minimum 1+ years” experience in healthcare or related highly regulated industries
  • Strong Communication skills for internal collaboration and external customer interactions
  • Strong ability to problem solve and self-direct work, especially as it relates to actuarial analyses
  • Strong thoughtfulness of impact of work on internal and external customer


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of leadership experience with ability to drive collaboration, engage, influence, and inspire cross functional teams
  • Familiarity with agile processes, such as scrum, Kanban, and/or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lucid (Jess -changed from Visio)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$64,890.00 - $173,040.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
