Role Description
We’re seeking a licensed California Dentist to provide synchronous teledentistry assessments as a remote independent contractor. You must be an active Denti-Cal (Medi-Cal Dental) provider. This is a great opportunity to support access to care across California through virtual assessments and patient education.
- Conduct virtual oral health assessments (teledentistry) in compliance with Medi-Cal/Denti-Cal guidelines
- Review and confirm adequate intraoral image capture during visits
- Support/guide dental assistants in following assessment protocols consistently
- Provide oral hygiene education and preventive care recommendations
- Document clear, complete clinical notes for each patient
Qualifications
- Active California Dental License
- Active Denti-Cal provider enrollment (Medi-Cal Dental)
- Active DEA license
- Professional Liability Insurance
- Proof of 50 CE credits (required for license renewal)
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working fully remote
- Excellent communication and patient-centered approach
Requirements
- Availability aligned with partner health center operating hours (Mon–Fri)
- Full-time coverage (4–5 days/week) or part-time coverage (minimum 3 days/week)
- Bilingual Preferred: Russian, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, Spanish, Vietnamese
Benefits
- $500 per day
- Up to $4,000 sign-on bonus
- Flexible engagement based on availability aligned with clinic operating hours
