Role Description

  • Implement new payroll projects including payroll system conversion for clients
  • Process multiple states’ payrolls for multiple clients
  • Research new regulations and reflect payrolls to comply with federal, states, counties requirements
  • Examine and improve existing payroll procedures of the assigned projects
  • Ensure quality of customer services
  • Communicate/interact with clients, sales department, and project members in order to meet our clients’ expectations
  • Manage assigned projects as a project leader and review procedures, profit, client expectations, renew agreements, train project members, etc.
  • Participate in internal projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Work from home independently

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write and communicate professionally in Japanese and English
  • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
  • Full-charge payroll experience or equivalent experiences are preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with ADP Comprehensive Services (payroll and Time & Attendance) is preferred
  • Experience with multiple companies’ payroll processing is preferred
  • Project management skills, prioritizing, multitasking, time management, customer service minded
  • Solid understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements - preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with learning new systems and ability to respond to changes in the IT environment flexibly, not afraid of challenge
  • Challenging mind and adjustable with new projects
  • Work accurately in a fast-paced work environment

Requirements

  • Anticipated Start Date: June - July 2026
  • Salary: $43,000-73,000 (Base Salary) + Profit sharing
  • Classifications: Non-Exempt, Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Work schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm Eastern or Central Time
