The Opportunity

We are seeking a Director of Data Processing to drive strategic transformation while maintaining excellence in hands-on data processing delivery. Reporting to the VP of Research Operations, this unique role combines individual contributor responsibilities with strategic leadership, requiring someone who can both execute complex data processing tasks and spearhead the modernization of our technology platforms and workflows.

Your Impact

Technology & Infrastructure Strategy:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our existing technology platforms and architect solutions to enhance their integration, connectivity, and interoperability.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies, including AI tools and methodological approaches, to advance data processing capabilities.
  • Manage multi-platform data workflows and implement data transformation processes while maintaining integrity and security standards.

Process Innovation & Organizational Development:

  • Design and optimize data processing workflows, establishing best practices that improve quality, reduce cycle times, and enhance productivity.
  • Partner with leadership to build operational capabilities, mentor technical talent, and establish scalable frameworks.

Advanced Data Processing & Problem Solving:

  • Execute complex data tabulation, cross-tab analysis, weighting applications, and custom table creation using SPSS, Q, UNCLE, Quantum, or Unicom Intelligence.
  • Serve as go-to expert for resolving technical challenges, troubleshooting data issues, and providing methodological guidance.
  • Create and implement automated solutions using VBA, Visual Studio, and other programming tools.

Quality & Delivery Excellence:

  • Develop and maintain rigorous quality assurance protocols ensuring highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with client teams to understand requirements, recommend approaches, and ensure deliverables meet objectives and timelines.

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience – 7+ years of experience in Data Processing, Data Tabulation, or Data Science is required; experience in the Market Research industry is preferred.
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative field. Additional degrees are welcome!
  • Technical Skills – Deep proficiency with data tabulation software such as SPSS, Unicom Intelligence, Q, or UNCLE is required. Strong experience with VBA and Python programming is required; AI literacy and experience integrating AI tools into data processing workflows is strongly preferred.
  • Leadership – You have a well-developed leadership acumen and can lead and mentor team members. You are a strong collaborator and can partner effectively with leaders across the business to develop and deliver optimal insights for our clients

Compensation

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
